This is How I Like to Remember You

Sharing is caring

In silhouettes of imagined memories

Of sunset walks by luxury beaches

Talking in cafe corners in Houston

And driving lessons at sixteen

Mama says you were good and kind

So I know these imagined memories

Hold true for who you were

This is how I must remember you

A loving man who left me books

For comfort and compass

And his looks

So the mirror is all I need to turn to

When I long for a memory.
